The Golden Apple, written and directed by Hanan Issa is a Welsh magical realist drama. Hasan, and his older brother Lutfi, find a golden apple growing on a tree in their local park. The internet says that golden apples grant eternal happiness to anyone who eats it.
Headstrong Lutfi, longing for certainty and financial stability, plans to sell the golden apple for a large profit. But Hasan, sensitive to the troubles of all the people he cares about (Mum, Nan, Uncle and Lutfi), thinks there might be a better solution. What will the boys decide to do with this magical miracle?
